What's red and sparkly?

My new crochet project with the metal hook kindly sent by Marina.

Matching sparkly hook - Perfect

It's currently living in the go everywhere bag and is growing quickly.

Another vest top like the green one I made last week - this time in a Red polyester chenille yarn with sparkles of lurex.

The metal hook is making things a whole lot easier - I think I would have still been trying to do row one with the plastic one and this yarn - they were not playing nice together at all.

Hope your week is bright and sparkly.

Plastic hooks never worked well with me either they grab the wool instea of letting it glide through, give me a metal one any day.Don't forget photo's when it's finished :) Barb.

Looks intriguing! I use metal hooks all the time for crochet.

Pretty colour!

I'd never thought about the difficulties plastic would throw into the mix (since I dont crochet at all )

I guess it's like having a favourite pair of scissors or liking a particular sewing machine foot.

Carry on crocheting.

You are so co-ordinated. I like metal crochet hooks and knitting needles better than the plastic, they feel different in your hand. Glad it is making itself useful.
Lovely red yarn.
