Library Favourite

This week my favourite thing is my Local.

Library - that is.

Just some of the books which are currently residing at my house.

I like that I can borrow a selection of books on any subject that takes my fancy and just bring them back if I decide I am not interested. I don't feel like I have to read every thing - sometimes I just look at the pictures.

The real reason for this weeks favourite is now they have these talking books which are compact and complete - BYO headphones and you're good to go.

I have been listening to Kathy Lette's 'To Love, Honour and Betray' while crocheting a few squares - perfect!

Another reason to love my Local is that it is the venue for the monthly knitting group, we get to sit in the comfy chairs while we chat and knit. To see who else is playing favourites go check with Mrs P.

Have a fabulous weekend doing whatever takes your fancy.

Great favorite .. I love that you can borrow a $10 book for three weeks (or more) for free. I got several books on CD for our recent vacation but found listening to them in the car put me to sleep -- must have been the books I picked...

A great favourite Tracey. Don't you just feel great walking in and seeing all those beautiful books just waiting to take you on a journey. I spy some yoga books in your lovely selection too. I must try the audio books.

Libraries are great. I have spent hours and hours happily browsing books and that is half the pleasure. Just seeing all the posibilities.

I agree, libraries are special and I love listening to audio books. They make driving and housework much less arduous.

Fantastic favourite! I love my local library too. Where else can you get great entertainment for free and explore the world through words and pictures?

I've never borrowed an audio book!

what a great favourite! I love my library too. Must admit that I hardly use it these days with not much spare time to read, but I did just go last week for the first time in months and have about 10 very inpsiring books on my sewing desk to peruse.

I practically lived in my local library as a kid. I think I am trying to re-create it at home now.

I love audio books, great to be able to listen and craft at the same time.

There are no libraries in this country. Censorship is still practiced when it comes to movies, books and magazines which I find absolutely disgusting. I don't go out to see movies because so many scenes are cut, even in the animated ones. Silly! The kids schoolbooks are also censored, especially when it comes to history. :/

I like the blocks you are crocheting. I am doing the same kinda thing in granny squares -- they work up quickly and it will be the first time I make a baby blanket in this pattern. Now I just need someone that I know to get pregnant.

Have a great day. Tammy

I love libraries too and we are lucky that a new library has just opened in the next town. I don't go as often as I used to - too much time spent on the Internet. I'm going to have to check out the audio books I love them. My favorite is Harry Potter read by Stephen Fry.

Oh I LOVE reading! I have started a new thing on my blog - two posts so far under 'book review'. If you get the chance have a look as the two books I have reviewed so far have been amazing! :o) xx

I used to spend a lot of time at the library when the kids were young but rarely visit now. I don't spend anywhere near the same amount of time reading as I used to. I love the idea of those audio books for while you are crafting though..
