Because...

some people are curious as to what is happening in my sewing space. I thought I'd share what I acheived this week.
I think some readers of this space will be able to identify with the whole 'wardrobe shrinks my clothes' scenario. So I took out this perfectly good skirt which I made @#$@ years ago but has been hanging in said wardrobe for the past 5 plus years because it really is too pretty to throw out.
Perfect for sunny summer days
This week I have begun deconstructing it, a little off the length will make it about right for now and it will once again be wearable. So back to the sewing machine I go!
Hope your week includes pretty flowers.

Well I thought I was the only one that happened to! Now I feel better. Lovely "spring" fabric to use again! :)

I went jeans shopping during the weekend and found I am a size bigger than I thought I was- obviously the jeans shop jeans are shrinking too!

Love the fabric you're deconstructing. Its going to a fabulous re-fashioned skirt.

Shrinking clothes are an issue here and may I add that school uniforms for both my girls who generally fit into a ladies 12 wear 18's and 20s in their school uniforms! No wonder many young ones have issues now.

Someone needs to invent anti-shrink for wardrobes! Definitely too pretty to discard, and if the sun ever comes out again perfect for summer...
