Christmas Angel swap sent

to Sandi (no blog)

I gathered all the required goodies - Karen the swap hostess, supplied a list of must haves.

As Sandi indicated her favourite colours as blue and yellow and said her Christmas decorating is limited to red and green, I tried to ensure the gifts fit within these guidelines.

All gathered ready for wrapping and packing.

(In my haste to get the package in the mail I neglected to get a photo of the wrapped goods).

Fabric postcard - using stitchery design from Bronwyn at Red Brolly.

Applique wall hanging - design from Claire Turpin, published in  Australian Homespun No.103 Vol12 No12.

Something yummy - a mini Santa sack with fruit chews and chocolate.

Sandi chose a stocking - front with the naughty elf 

and the other front with Santa - a stitchery design by Bronwyn of Red Brolly teamed with red on red spots.

 

A little mug mat - using a pinwheel and a free gingie design from Michelle Ridgeway.

and on the back this fun stocking print.

A framed stitchery featuring a little tea with friend design from Bronwyn of Red Brolly.

A Christmas tag - design by Vivian Robinson published in Australian Homespun.

Little Decoration - red felt heart with crochet detail and beads.

Something sewing - sprocket pincushion using the pattern from Cluck Cluck sew, reduced a lot.

Candle mat - my own design in Sandi's favourite colours, with a stitched saying and hand appliqued circles. 

The starter kit included some red and green fabric and a pattern for a pin wheel table runner.

I hope Sandi enjoys her goodies as much as I enjoyed creating them for her.

A Crafty swap and 321...

Not blast off - but I did finish.

It does seem that I may be a little consumed by this red thread colour though.

There are four cards with the 321 number on, two of which I emptied in completing the house project, and there are two brand new skeins waiting to be wound.

(guess I wont run out any time soon!)

Sure I finished by the deadline, but I may need to work this little number again, it is lovely.

Well I think so - anyway.

What did I receive?

My gift came  from the talented Ms Curly Pops - a set of her new gift tags, see those scissor pics apparently I need to do some cutting, Cool pack it includes the string for the holes too.

There is also a beady necklace in the top of the pic, that too was part of my gift.

I made some good progress last night on the second brown sock - back to needles and yarn for me.

Now it is time for me to get back to the reorganisation and maybe even hang a few decorations about if I don't get distracted by another project.

Love the little countdown board and I have been changing the number every morning.

New emery boards in pretty colours, just the right size for carrying in my bag.

A very cute Angel mug - into circulation already with the other Christmas mugs perfect for a refreshing coffee break.

The cutest little Santa snow globe ornament which lights up and changes colour too.

Love the Santa amd Rudolph hanging ornaments and the door hanger - sure is feeling like Christmas around here.

Just in case I get any of said things finished for presents I'm all set with seasonal tape and Christmas tags.

Naughty Elf...

I'm sure she had her head in the clouds when she turned the trees upside down.

There were no clouds in the sky today when I went out for my walk and the temperature was soaring! A little sit down at the beach was necessary.

And like the big kid that I am I couldn't wait to open my squishy mail package so I ripped in right there on the beach. A cute little package from Kris at TagAlongTeddies, who is one of the hosts of OPAM.

Inside I found a pattern for one of Kris' own gorgeous designs - when I read the words I had a spooky feeling that Kris had been peeking in my windows.

I'd much prefer to craft than clean and tidy, so the words on this little hanging are perfect for me and my humble abode.

There was also a piece of gorgeous fabric (not sure how she parted with that) and some thread for stitching the design.

Thanks Kris it really is very sweet.

A little project started months ago.

Was finished and delivered Sunday.

Happy in its new home.

I have been focussing on the Christmas list and made some progress on the items I started last week.

Santa has his stick out ready for his coming trek.

Embroidery design by Bronwyn Hayes of Red Brolly - an oldie but a goodie.

The pattern, which this is part of has been very well used over the years.

The Angel has been trying out her wings. Yeah, she got some stuffing too and is feeling much better now than when she made her last appearance.

As today is a bonus off day - I think I'll just spend the rest of it in my creating space.

Startitis strikes again!

Friday night I joined some other crafters for Friday night with Friends.

I cheated and started really early - there was a little beading with these pretty red ones.

and again, Red stitching on this Santa an older design by Bronwyn Hayes of Red Brolly.

He really is a jolly fellow.

Today was my local knitting group, but sometimes I just crochet instead.

Fun Mail

A package arrived with my name on it - Yippee!

Pretty paper on the outside

and lots of fun on the inside.

Perfect timing for the super cosy socks - sure needed some of these.

The gorgeous little pouch was filled with some essentials - sustenance and a hot drink ( or two), along with some winter themed buttons - Way to fun.

Woolly goodness

While the clouds gathered outside I stayed warm inside surrounded by my gorgeous projects.

There was a little tea time stitching - the table is now ready. I wonder who is coming.

During the week I cast off the grey vest. The body is done, just the bands to complete.

Then some hooking Saturday at the monthly knitting group, which ended when the yarn ran out - oops.

I started over with the hooking and I picked up stitches to knit the arm bands on the vest.

Same design with a smaller hook and  less pattern repeats - I think the sizing will be better and I will have sufficient yarn as I am using an odd ball from the stash, Yippee!
