Introducing Harriette

I thought I'd play along with Melody's Teddy bears picnic and show you some of the bears that I have in my collection, most of which are made by me.

It is fitting to start with Harriette as she is the first mohair bear that I made.

Completed in a class in 2001 and I even kept up with all the homework so she was finished by the end of the last class and like all good crafty types I picked up supplies on the last day and began an obsession with making bears.

As I handsewed all the body parts the bears became my train project and were completed quickly and very unlike me I worked on one at a time, which is why I only have one bear UFO.

I have plenty of supplies for making more furry friends.

Here is a close up of her pretty face and gorgeous beads.
The design is Hattie by Gerry Warlow.
Happy Creating

Oh Hariette is adorable. I've only ever made one bear and he certainly wasn't this cute.

Harriette looks gorgeous. I can see how you were hooked on bear making if this was your first. Wonderful!

Harriet is very pretty.
I have made two bears but must say they are not my favourite thing to do.

Harriete is very beautiful! Your work is very wonderful.

I am a follower of Mrs. P and a member of Aunt Pitty Pat's blog. I have seen your blog before, but never followed it. I will now follow it as I enjoy seeing your work. Your embroidery is very pretty and is giving me some ideas for a Pay it Forward I am in. Thanks!

Doesn't she look like she has a very cheeky personality? I think she's gorgeous.

I have a few bears round here - but nothing I've ever made. Myone foray into toy making eneded up with a rabbit with it's head sewn on backwards...

Oh yes she does look like she has a cheeky personality... Shay.
This little girl is fantastic!! Thanks for sharing her with us all.
