Amazing and an Emergency!

Can you believe how generous the people of blogland are?

I spent a lovely afternoon with Marina over at Maisie and the Boys.

What can I say - she fed me afternoon tea, we talked and I got to see some of her gorgeous projects in real life - amazing!

Thanks Marina, I really did enjoy the afternoon.

There was some sewing action here this week -

a small contribution to the Quilt Drive being held over at The Quilter's Angel.

Hope it brightens someones recovery from the Queensland flood disaster.

All the talk of UFO's in blogland had me unearth a few forgotten favourites.

This young lady is a design from Lynn Hyland of Li'l Bloke's started?? found in the bottom of a tub all stuck down and not sewn up - now that is under control, she will going off to brighten a refurbished sewing space soon.

Then there was a disaster in the sewing room - that is the only time you 'need' an iron -right?

Well my 10 year old iron just gave up the ghost completely today and that is my excuse for not having more finished items - I had to run out to the shop before it closed tonight to pick up a new one - I may want to sew before work tomorrow.

Hope she lasts as long as the last one!

So I hope you are all having a fun week and staying dry in your part of the world.
Happy Creating

10 years is quite an age for an iron! Did you get another one in time?

So your iron went out in sympathy with mine...at least yours didn't decide on smoke tendrils from its tip to push home the the point it was dead!!
That little bear is very cute...the things we find in the bottom of storage spaces...
